Prior to the installation
The processing can be done in two ways. The first method is when the tile has not yet been installed, allowing you to work on it on a table or workbench. The second method is when the tile is already installed on the reservoir and you have already applied the following preparation. In both cases, the process is almost the same and will take approximately one and a half to two hours.
Preparation
Place the built-in reservoir (Geberit Sigma/Delta or TECE) and cover it with construction panels. Ensure there is a second layer of 1 cm with a larger cut-out of 26×18 cm around the flush plate. This is necessary for the magnets to be applied later. Then, completely cut away the protruding edges of the built-in reservoir.

Marking
The sticker included is aligned from the right flush button. Set up the cross line laser as shown and mark this around the wall/floor.

Cutting
For cutting, use the diamond discs provided. These fit various tools, such as a Proxxon Micromot angle grinder. You can choose between straight and rounded corners. The sticker indicates where to cut for rounded corners. To cut curves, use the included diamond-tipped drill bits. Note: Always use water while cutting to keep the discs in good condition and achieve a cleaner cut line. Use a spray bottle or cut through a wet sponge for this.

The sticker depicts four variants of flush buttons, each with its own colour. To cut rounded corners, use the diamond-tipped drill bits. These are fragile and may break. If this happens, take a new bit and ensure the thickness remains consistent. Again, cutting should be done wet.
Do not cut the corners completely through at once, so the tile remains “attached” to the rest of the tile. Once you’ve gone all the way around, the sticker can be removed, and you can use the angle grinder to cut through the long sides. Continue using water for the best result.

Place two strips of tape vertically over the entire flush plate. This prevents the tiles from falling out when you cut through the corners completely.

Then you can fully remove the flush plate and finish everything. Sand all corners and lines neatly, keeping all seams evenly thick. Also, neatly finish the tile that is still attached to the back wall of the toilet.

Adhesion
Once the above steps are completed, the magnetic corners can be glued. Use a strong assembly adhesive and ensure the corners are well embedded in the glue. Press them firmly. Excess adhesive can be cut away after it has cured.

Ensure there is enough glue between the tile and the flush plate, but do not apply it too thickly. This can create a difference in thickness with the surrounding tile. Use small spacers to keep the cuts evenly spaced, and allow everything to cure. Excess glue can be trimmed away.

Installation
After curing, the set can be mounted. Screw the screws and nuts included into the reservoir and check if the flush plate works. Then, the spacer can be placed and adjusted. Ensure that in the final step, the ring is aligned with the slot in the pin, and tighten the nut. The steps are illustrated below.

Finishing, Adjustment, and Maintenance
The finished flush plate can now be reinstalled. The magnets will hold the flush plate securely in place. Run your hand over the surrounding tile and flush plate. If they are not flush with each other, you can adjust the magnet inside using the Allen key provided to achieve a flush finish. Use the tool included to remove the flush plate entirely, adjust it, perform maintenance, or refill your AquaClean.
